Gold or Silver Plated pieces can last a long time and always look like new, as they are of the highest quality.

Constant daily use of the same plated piece is, in principle, not recommended, however, there are several cases of great durability without any harm to the piece. This means that it largely depends on the person using it.

It is normal for dark spots to appear on pieces plated in 18k gold, due to contact with the skin, sweat, perfumes and creams. Therefore, we recommend that some care be taken to ensure the durability of your pieces.

Conservation tips:

Hand cream, deodorant and perfume should be placed minutes before the jewelry to avoid possible chemical reactions.

People who have a high level of uric acid, are nervous or are taking medication can darken gold, silver and plated pieces.

Always take off your jewelry when carrying out rough work, where it could suffer abrasion, falling or contact with chemicals.

Do not use on the beach: sea water and sunscreen can damage your bath

Do not wear jewelry and semi-jewelry while applying hair dye.

Beach, Swimming Pool, Sauna, Baths etc. These activities can damage your plated piece.

With this care, your pieces will remain beautiful and durable for a long time.

Cleaning

To clean your piece, use only neutral coconut soap and running water;

To dry them, use a dry flannel and then dry the piece with a hairdryer to increase the shine and not leave the piece damp;

Do not try to shine with steel wool or any other type of abrasive.

Avoid taking a shower with the pieces, as soap, creams and bath oils leave a thin film on the surface, making the piece opaque;

Do not use acetone, toothpaste, alcohol to clean your parts. Nor do you boil them in soapy water, as these procedures dirty and damage stones and metals.

Attention to Pearls:

If your semi-jewelry has pearls, do not wash them. Only use a damp cloth to clean them.

With this care, your pieces will remain beautiful for a long time and you will always look beautiful.

Below are some factors that can damage your plated piece:

Sweat: One of the most aggressive and often responsible for the darkening of the garment. In the body, there is a continuous loss of fluid through the skin. Sweat is the most effective factor in removing body heat. Its composition can be extremely corrosive due to the presence of substances such as: Sulfates, Phosphates, Chlorides, Citric, uric and lactic acids. This is the case of silver, for example, which can darken when in contact with these substances as it is a more sensitive metal than others.

Presence of excess iodine:

Cosmetics — Creams, Ointments, Lotions, etc.

Perfumes — Original liquid, Colognes, etc.

Hair chemicals — Coloring, straightening, etc.

Handling — Improper stresses placed on parts, such as: small twists, pulls and bends.

Cleaning Products — Multipurpose, Bleach, Soaps, etc.

Leisure Activities — Beach, Swimming Pool, Sauna, Bathing, etc.
